Tracy Ringolsby reports at FoxSports.com (actually, Ken Rosenthal reports that Ringolsby reports) that the Rockies are interested in Washington Nationals first baseman Nick Johnson as a bat off the bench. Ringolsby also confirms the Rockies’ interest in Orioles reliever Mark Hendrickson but says that rumors of the team’s interest in Blue Jays reliever Scott Downs have been denied by a source from one of the clubs.
