Denver Nuggets trade Hunter in salary dump

The Denver Nuggets traded center Steven Hunter, a lottery-protected first-round pick and cash to the Memphis Grizzlies for a future second-round pick. The trade reduces the Nuggets’ luxury tax penalty next season. Dumping Hunter’s $3.7 million salary will save the team $7.4 million next year. Read more about the trade from Chris Ford at ESPN.com.
